A Painterly Approach to

Creating Your Gel Print Landscapes

I’m building a supportive community of gel plate printmakers.

Let’s learn to make beautiful landscape prints without a press.

Are you new to printmaking with a gel plate? Or, are you just tired of creating endless gel plate prints that get filed away for some possible future project?

Let’s change that! We’re building a safe and supportive community of gel plate printmakers who want to create a finished piece of art they can be proud of. And, of course, they want to have fun along the way.

I believe creativity is a powerful tool for life. While it’s surely a means of expression, I believe it’s also a channel for problem solving, critical thinking and emotional health.

I believe in the ability of creative learning to transform and I believe the steps to creative learning should be simple and uncomplicated.

With that in mind, I would like to be able to guide you to create expressive, colourful, one-of-a-kind landscape prints without using a press. And, in the process of exploring and experimenting, I want you to discover your own unique artistic voice.

So this is what I want to share with you. I’d like to build a community of creatives, new or experienced, to work together to create beautiful fine art landscape prints using a gel plate.

And I’d like you to be a Founding Member.

Better together.

For almost 20 years I used to teach art throughout North America. Then one day, everything shut down and working solo in my studio was the only option. But I miss the human interaction.

So I had this idea that I could start a supportive community of like-minded gel print landscape printmakers where we would share our journey and we’d have fun doing so. Each month we’d create a small embellished landscape. I would publish a video showing how you might create this landscape on your gel plate, including how to embellish the final print with other art media. We’ll communicate through a private facebook group where we’ll share our successes, our questions, and learn from each other. And, frequently, we’ll have a live facebook session where we’ll talk about our progress (or lack of progress, because there’s no deadline or time-frame commitment to these video lessons!).

Have fun.

And most of all, we’ll have fun; because the goal here is for you to enjoy, and become lost in, the excitement of creating art and through practice, develop your own special way of expressing yourself. I have this vision of what this community could become, but I don’t have all the details worked out yet.

That’s where you come in. I’m inviting you to join this community as a Founding Member. Founding Members will help shape the future of this idea I’m sharing and help to build the excitement. You’ll just need a small gel plate, four tubes of paint, some brushes, paper and palette knives and you’re good to go.

Founding Member, Life-time pricing.

As a Founding Member, I’m offering you access to the community at the special price of $12 monthly or $120 annually. The Founding Member offer will close soon and the next time the community opens for membership, the price will increase. But, as a Founding Member your $12 per month or $120 per year will remain for as long as you continue to belong to the community.

The Founding Member price is low because I’m just starting this adventure and I don’t have volumes of videos and stories that you can currently access. But, with the help and direction of the Founding Members, we’ll have many more videos and ideas for both you and new members.

I’m asking you to come along as we build and as a thank you for your support, we’ll keep your membership price low for as long as you remain with us. More questions? Contact me at bob@bobpennycook.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

And if you’re thinking you might be interested in this community, perhaps you should take action now before the Founding Member offer closes.
